At SharkNinja, we’re building an AI-native culture. We’re not waiting for the future; we’re creating it. About the Role

~1 min read

SharkNinja is a global company with a fast-growing presence across Latin America. As Ninja products reach more LATAM households — across cooking, food prep, treats, and beverages — we have a significant opportunity to ensure our products are developed, validated, and positioned in a way that truly reflects the richness and diversity of LATAM culinary culture.

This person will embed as a culinary intelligence partner to the Ninja Test Kitchen — bringing authentic regional expertise to product testing, KPI development, ingredient gap analysis, and story creation across all Ninja categories. LATAM is not a single market, and the person in this seat has a real opportunity to shape how Ninja shows up across one of the world’s most vibrant and diverse culinary regions.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • Execute structured appliance tests using authentic, locally sourced LATAM ingredients across all Ninja categories
  • Identify and document functional gaps where appliance performance diverges from local consumer expectations
  • Maintain rigorous test records: datasheets, photo and video capture, sensory observations, and protocol notes
  • Partner with Ninja Test Kitchen to inform performance KPIs that reflect authentic LATAM consumer expectations
  • Build and maintain a living ingredient gap framework — documenting where locally sourced ingredients behave differently from US equivalents in ways that affect appliance performance
  • Surface gaps with engineering implications early, so product teams can act before launch
  • Develop and validate, appliance-specific recipes that reflect genuine regional consumer behavior
  • Translate culinary findings into product story inputs — hero dishes, demos, social virality, use-case claims, and positioning that resonates authentically with LATAM consumers
  • Note meaningful sub-regional variation where relevant across Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, and beyond
  • Serve as Ninja Test Kitchen’s go-to resource for LATAM culinary intelligence — ingredients, techniques, trends, and consumer behaviors
  • Lead regular virtual knowledge-share sessions with the Needham team and contribute to a living LATAM culinary reference guide
  • Support sell-in stories with the commercial organization linking functionality to the experience.

  • 5+ years of professional culinary or culinary development experience with a strong foundation in LATAM cuisines
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent — degree from a recognized program in Mexico or LATAM preferred
  • Hands-on experience working with or evaluating kitchen appliances through a culinary and functional lens
  • Deep knowledge of LATAM ingredients and how they may differ from US-market equivalents in ways that affect cooking performance
  • Bilingual Spanish / English — professional fluency in both written and spoken communication
  • Self-directed and organized — able to manage workstreams independently without on-site supervision
  • Strong documentation skills — able to write structured test reports and communicate findings clearly to a technical audience

Nice to Have

~1 min read
  • R&D, test kitchen, or food product development experience
  • Familiarity with sensory evaluation — ability to articulate taste, texture, aroma, and appearance in structured terms
  • Culinary knowledge spanning multiple LATAM markets — Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, or Caribbean
  • Experience working with remote, cross-functional US-based teams
  • Travel availability 20% of the time
