Sitetracker powers the rapid deployment of tomorrow's infrastructure as the global leader in deployment operations management software. Innovative companies like Cox, Telefonica, EVgo, and Tilson rely on Sitetracker to plan, deploy, and manage critical infrastructure projects and assets across industries like telecommunications, EV charging, renewables, and utilities. Our cloud-based solution accelerates the transition to a fully connected and sustainable future. Founded to solve infrastructure deployment challenges, Sitetracker continues to expand its impact across industries. Recognised as a top workplace, we are proud to invest in our exceptional, people-first culture.
As Manager, Product Design, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how some of the world's most critical infrastructure companies operate. The products you and your team design will directly influence how complex projects are planned, deployed, and managed at scale.
We are investing heavily in our product design organisation and are looking for a leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments. This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with a strong builder mentality — someone who is energised by ambiguity, stays close to the craft, and knows how to rally teams around bold ideas. You will not just manage designers. You will set the standard for what modern product design looks like at Sitetracker — hands-on, technically fluent, and deeply connected to customer outcomes.
In addition to leading the broader design team, you will be embedded in your own scrum team — designing and delivering alongside Engineering on a day-to-day basis. For someone who wants to build and ship, this is an ideal balance of leadership and craft. If you are looking for a role focused primarily on people management, this is not the right fit.
Responsibilities
~1 min readYou will lead a team of designers while remaining deeply connected to the work. You will mentor and grow your direct reports while cultivating a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and building in public — where work is shared early and often, feedback cycles are short, and the collective intelligence of the team is leveraged daily.
You and your team will stay close to where product and AI capabilities are heading, not just what Sitetracker can do today. You will monitor competitors and adjacent products to understand how the market is evolving, identify new patterns, and bring back insights that shape product direction. You will also develop a deep understanding of the critical infrastructure industries Sitetracker serves — telecommunications, EV charging, renewables, and utilities — and the tools, systems, and workflows that professionals in those industries rely on daily. That domain knowledge is what separates generic enterprise design from solutions that actually fit how these teams work. You will speak the technical language — fluent enough in AI concepts, platform capabilities, and enterprise architecture to hold your own as a peer in deep technical discussions, not a passenger.
You will partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and leadership teams to define and deliver intuitive, scalable enterprise experiences that solve real customer problems. Understanding business context is table stakes. You will identify and evangelize UX priorities aligned with commercial objectives, define solutions that translate user experience into business impact, establish leading-indicator metrics, and make the tradeoff decisions that shape what gets built and what does not.
You will champion user-centered design practices and ensure the team thinks in systems, not screens. Your team will map user flows, define interaction patterns, and design information architecture that makes complex operational workflows feel manageable. They will maintain and evolve our design system so that quality scales. Sitetracker is a Salesforce ISV — our web experience is built on SLDS-based components, while our mobile experience is purpose-built outside of SLDS. Your team will design for the full range of our users across both — from field technicians on mobile to program managers running complex dashboards.
The design industry is changing. The most effective designers are no longer handing off static mockups and waiting for engineers to bring their ideas to life. They are shipping code, building AI graphs, measuring the quality of their solutions, and delivering outcomes directly. Sitetracker is at the front edge of this evolution, and this role will help define what it looks like.
You and your team are builders. Figma is one tool in the kit, not the default. Designers ship code to production, use AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Cursor, build and refine AI workflows, and verify implementations directly. You will model this behavior for your team and build a culture where design and engineering are a continuous workflow, not a handoff.
You will establish high standards for research and validation. Where there is time and opportunity, your team will run pilots, usability tests, and design reviews to pressure-test work with real users and real scenarios. But you will also build a team that can ship confidently on strong UX instincts when the timeline demands it — leaning on deep knowledge of design patterns and conventions.
You will define what "good" looks like, establish success metrics, and track quality over time. Your team will close the loop between what was designed and what actually shipped.
Your team is not done when a feature ships. They are done when it succeeds. You will ensure designers track whether what they built is being adopted and whether it is driving the commercial outcomes it was designed to achieve. You will apply what you learn to iterate, adjust, and improve.
