Middle School History and English Teacher

Valley Catholic Middle School seeks a qualified and enthusiastic educator to join our faculty as a Middle School Humanities Teacher.

• Four sections of 8th Grade History (Founding of the United States)
• One section of 7th Grade English
• One section of 8th Grade English

This position offers the opportunity to engage students in the study of American history, literature, writing, research, and critical thinking while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

​​​​​​​Salary Range: $45,397 (BA Step 0) to $64,602 (MA Step 7+), depending on education and experience.

• Hold a current Oregon Teaching License with an appropriate endorsement 
• Plan and implement lessons in accordance with Oregon State and Archdiocesan expectations.
• Create engaging learning experiences that develop students' reading, writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Evaluate and assess student performance and progress.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that supports student growth and achievement.
• Manage student behavior to provide an optimal and safe learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators.

Satisfactory clearance of a background check and eligibility to legally work in the United States are required. Sponsorship of a work visa or work visa extension is not available.
