At Soho House, a Server is responsible for understanding, discussing, and educating members and guests on all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable), while also presenting an approachable and elevated experience by following Soho House Service Standards. The Server plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the service and guest satisfaction. Also, collaborates with other team members and completes pre-service and post-service duties, accurately entering orders into POS and being attentive during service to support additional member or guest requests.
A successful Server maintains a positive and influential attitude, is detail-oriented, process-driven, and flexible while working under pressure to ensure seamless communication is maintained through the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) staff.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with team members, managers, and cross-functional departments while successfully completing all required training and certification through Club School.
- Deliver an exceptional member and guest experience by providing knowledgeable, attentive, and personalized service in accordance with Soho House standards.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and cocktail offerings, including daily specials, and confidently make recommendations to enhance the dining experience and drive sales.
- Anticipate member and guest needs through consistent, approachable communication while maintaining the highest level of hospitality throughout the service experience.
- Communicate all allergies, dietary restrictions, guest concerns, service recovery opportunities, or potential risks to Management and the Executive Chef promptly to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and ensure all food and beverage items are delivered correctly, efficiently, and in the proper course sequence.
- Verify all food and beverage orders for accuracy, presentation, and quality before serving to members and guests.
- Support overall service execution by assisting runners, bussers, hosts, and bar staff as needed to maintain efficient operations and a seamless guest experience.
- Complete all assigned side work, opening duties, running duties, and closing duties, including cleaning and stocking service stations, polishing silverware, glassware, and plates, and maintaining organization of server alleys and service areas.
- Complete all required checkout procedures, cash handling reconciliation, tip reporting, and shift reports, ensuring management review and approval when required.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout all dining and service areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, food safety requirements, responsible alcohol service guidelines, and all Company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and remain informed of menu updates, special events, operational changes, and service initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

- Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem-solving under pressure
- Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service, and respectful towards team members and guests
- Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to take direction, work in a team environment, and work autonomously
- Food Handler and/or Alcohol certified
- Micros knowledge preferred
- Must be able to continuously stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to frequently use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, hold, reach, and manipulate objects, equipment, and service items.
- Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, reach, twist, crouch, kneel, squat, and climb as required to perform job duties.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 40 pounds without assistance and occasionally move items weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to safely transport food, beverages, trays, and service equipment throughout the property.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service standards.
- Must be able to move quickly and safely between various areas of the property to support operational needs.
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, as applicable, and tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and crowded conditions.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
