Position Summary
The Compliance Quality Analyst supports the company’s compliance management system across agricultural lending, loan origination, underwriting, closing, and portfolio administration. They are responsible for managing post-closing collateral protection processes to ensure the company's security interests, payment rights, crop/property insurance, and collateral positions remain properly documented, monitored, and protected throughout the life of the loan.
This role serves as a key control function within Risk & Compliance by administering, tracking, and validating collateral protection activities—including Assignments of Indemnity (AOIs), Assignments of Payment (AOPs), Notices to Buyers (NTBs), lien perfection documentation, crop/property collateral assignment monitoring, and post-closing quality control reviews. The position works closely with Loan Operations, Sales, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and external parties to ensure a perfected and enforceable collateral position.
Role Mandate: Protect borrowers and the company by identifying compliance risk early, documenting clear findings, and driving timely, sustainable corrective action.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Prepare, review, distribute, and track Assignments of Indemnity (AOIs) and Assignments of Payment (AOPs).
- Coordinate with crop insurance agents, FSA offices, agricultural borrowers, and internal stakeholders to obtain required acknowledgements.
- Monitor outstanding assignments and manage follow-up and escalation activities.
- Verify assignments are complete, accurate, and properly executed prior to file retention.
- Manage the tracking and retention of Notice to Buyer filings and related correspondence.
- Maintain buyer databases and delivery records.
- Maintain audit-ready records supporting collateral protection activities.
- Assist with internal audits, external audits, regulatory reviews, and due diligence requests.
- Prepare reporting related to exceptions, aging items, service-level adherence, and operational quality metrics.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of enhanced controls.
- Partner with Loan Operations, Sales, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to resolve documentation and collateral issues.
- Provide guidance regarding collateral protection requirements and documentation expectations.
- Assist in developing procedures, training materials, and process improvements.
Requirements
~1 min read- Agriculture Industry Knowledge (Top Priority): Prior experience with US agricultural lending, crop financing, FSA regulations, or farm operations.
- Property & Crop Insurance Knowledge: Familiarity with crop insurance policies, property/casualty insurance assignments, and collateral protection.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Risk/Compliance, Finance, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of direct experience in lending compliance, loan processing, risk management, or quality control.
- Lending Compliance: Proven background in US loan origination compliance, post-closing audits, or collateral perfection tracking.
- Schedule: Full availability to work live during US Central (CST) or Eastern (EST) business hours.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
