Salary Range: $2,800 – $4,000 USD per month based on location and experience:

• South Africa: $2,800 – $3,800 USD/month
• Latin America: $3,000 – $4,000 USD/month(The final offer is at the discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)

About the Role:

As a Physical Security System Estimator, you will play a critical role in evaluating, designing, and pricing comprehensive physical security solutions for commercial clients. You will directly impact growth by turning complex client requirements and architectural plans into precise, highly competitive equipment and labor bids. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with leading enterprise surveillance, access control, and unified security software technologies while shaping multi-faceted security infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze client site plans, RFPs, scope documents, and architectural blueprints to produce accurate equipment and labor estimations for commercial projects.
• Design and cost complete physical security solutions across video surveillance, unified access control, intrusion detection, and advanced security analytics.
• Select, configure, and itemize hardware, licensing, and software components from major manufacturers to ensure optimal system design.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotes from equipment distributors and manufacturers to secure competitive pricing and build accurate bills of materials (BOMs).
• Partner with engineering, sales, and operations teams to build and deliver polished, fully compliant commercial proposals on target deadlines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving security hardware, cloud software integrations, and industry installation standards to ensure pricing accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Required: Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Estimator or Design Engineer in the commercial physical security or low-voltage integration sector.

• Required: Hands-on experience quoting enterprise physical security platforms, including video surveillance (e.g., Axis, Hanwha, Verkada) and unified security software (e.g., Genetec).

• Required: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret floor plans, electrical drawings, system schematics, and bid specifications accurately.

• Required: Strong analytical capabilities with high proficiency in building detailed financial estimates and bills of materials.
•  
• Required: Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
•  
• Preferred: Prior experience estimating integrated access control, commercial alarm/intrusion products, and specialized sensors (ALPR, video analytics).

• Preferred: Relevant certifications from major security manufacturers or industry associations (e.g., Genetec, Axis, CPP, or PSP).
