We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing remote team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the bidding and pre-construction process for commercial glass, glazing, and metal panel projects. You will work directly alongside our project management and production teams to prepare accurate, competitive estimates that support project wins and ensure seamless execution. This position offers a clear path to a Lead Estimator role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
~1 min readEstimation & Takeoffs
- →Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop precise and comprehensive cost estimates for commercial glass, glazing, and metal panel scopes.
- →Perform accurate material takeoffs and input quantities into estimating software and/or spreadsheets.
- →Ensure 100% scope coverage on all bids — identifying inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications to eliminate errors, omissions, and costly revisions.
Bidding & Proposals
- →Prepare and support the development of professional, competitive bid submissions and project proposals.
- →Meet all bid deadlines with thorough, well-organized documentation that reflects our standard of excellence.
Collaboration & Communication
- →Partner closely with the Project Manager and production team to review project leads, align on scope, and ensure estimates accurately reflect real-world project requirements.
- →Communicate clearly and proactively with internal stakeholders throughout the bidding lifecycle.
- →Flag discrepancies, ambiguities, or potential value engineering opportunities within project documents.
Process & Documentation
- →Maintain organized and detailed records of all estimates, bid documents, and correspondence.
- →Uphold company standards for quality, accuracy, and professionalism across all deliverables.
Requirements

- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in commercial glass, glazing, and/or metal panel estimation.
- Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong material quantification skills with experience using estimating software or spreadsheets.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365; experience with ERP or construction estimating platforms.
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) — ability to produce clear, professional correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred
- Experience with specific commercial glazing systems (curtain wall, storefront, aluminum framing, structural glass).
- Familiarity with bid management platforms or construction project management software.
- Prior experience in an assistant or junior estimator role with progression to greater responsibility.
