Our client is a rapidly growing global sourcing and supply chain organization that partners with food manufacturers to solve complex procurement, sourcing, and logistics challenges. Working with suppliers across more than 15 countries, the company supports fast-growing brands through a high-touch, relationship-driven approach to global supply chain management.

As the business continues to scale, they are seeking a Head of Global Supply Chain to lead and evolve their global procurement, planning, and logistics operations while building the systems, processes, and team needed to support long-term growth.

The Head of Global Supply Chain will own the end-to-end global supply chain strategy, overseeing procurement, international logistics, integrated planning, supplier management, and cross-functional operational alignment.

This is both a strategic leadership and hands-on execution role. The successful candidate will build scalable systems, mentor a growing remote team, and collaborate closely with leadership across sales, finance, and operations to ensure the supply chain supports the company's continued growth.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading global supply chain functions within fast-paced, entrepreneurial organizations and enjoys building processes that improve efficiency, visibility, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process

  • Drive alignment across sales, finance, procurement, and operations

  • Oversee demand planning, supply planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities

  • Develop scenario planning models to support business decisions

  • Create dashboards and reporting tools that improve planning accuracy and decision-making

  • Continuously improve forecasting processes and operational visibility

  • Oversee daily procurement operations across a global supplier network

  • Ensure purchase orders are executed accurately and on schedule

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships

  • Establish supplier performance metrics and review processes

  • Develop communication cadences and issue resolution procedures for suppliers

  • Partner with commercial teams to anticipate demand and align procurement strategies

  • Support customer success by ensuring reliable product availability

  • Lead international logistics operations from purchase order through final delivery

  • Oversee container management, freight coordination, customs, warehousing, and final-mile delivery

  • Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, logistics providers, and warehouse partners

  • Develop standard operating procedures for logistics exceptions and escalation processes

  • Improve visibility into shipments, inventory movement, and logistics costs

  • Design systems that support efficient transportation planning and cost control

  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery performance and reduce operational risk

  • Design scalable supply chain processes that support continued business growth

  • Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities for operational improvement

  • Build systems that improve efficiency, visibility, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Establish best practices across procurement, planning, and logistics

  • Develop long-term supply chain strategies aligned with company growth objectives

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to the company's supply chain technology stack

  • Support implementation and optimization of ERP, demand planning, transportation management, and related systems

  • Improve reporting capabilities through automation and data visibility

  • Develop dashboards and KPIs that support operational decision-making

  • Ensure systems support scalability and long-term operational excellence

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing remote supply chain team

  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability

  • Define KPIs across procurement, logistics, planning, and supplier management

  • Coach team members while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement

  • Support hiring and organizational growth as supply chain operations expand

  • Promote collaboration across departments and geographic regions

  • Partner closely with sales, finance, sourcing, and executive leadership

  • Participate in strategic planning discussions related to growth and operational risk

  • Align supply chain priorities with commercial objectives

  • Communicate operational risks and opportunities proactively

  • Serve as a key advisor on supply chain strategy and operational excellence

Requirements

      • Food manufacturing

      • Food ingredients

      • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)

      • Global sourcing organizations

    • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems

    • Experience with demand planning and transportation management systems

    • Supply chain certifications such as:

      • CSCP

      • CPIM

      • PMP

    • Experience leading fully remote or globally distributed teams

    • Background managing international logistics providers and freight forwarders

  • Extensive experience across:

    • Procurement

    • Supply Planning

    • Demand Planning

    • Global Logistics

    • Supplier Relationship Management

  • Strong understanding of international shipping and global trade operations

  • Experience managing complex international supplier networks

  • Demonstrated success building scalable operational processes

  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset

  • Experience using data to drive operational decisions

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Ability to operate comfortably at both strategic and tactical levels

  • Experience working within entrepreneurial, high-growth, or rapidly scaling organizations
