Priority Location: Mexico City, Mexico
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:00AM to 5:00PM Colombia time
Salary Range: 20,000.00 - 30,000.00 MXN / month ($1,111 – $1,667 USD) (part time)
Type of contract: Independent Contractor
Type of job: Hybrid (Site: WeWork Mariano Escobedo). On site meeting three times a week (tue-thu) during either am/pm

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to take full ownership of our internal technology ecosystem. In this role, you will manage user access across cloud platforms, establish secure drive structures, maintain hardware setups, and safeguard critical firm and client data. As the primary point of contact for technical support, you will ensure our infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and optimized for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Identity & Access Management:
- Provision, maintain, and audit user accounts within Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Enforce sign-in security protocols, user group structures, and seamless onboarding/offboarding workflows.
Cloud Storage & Governance:
- Architect and maintain clean, structured shared drive environments across OneDrive, SharePoint, and Google Drive.
- Manage permissions, access controls, and file-sharing policies to ensure data remains organized and deliberate.
Hardware & Systems Administration:
- Configure, deploy, and support Windows workstations for team members, ensuring integration with essential tools and network drives.
- Execute regular patch management, system updates, and endpoint security standards.
Security, Backup & Helpdesk Support:
- Implement safeguards to protect confidential firm and client files against unauthorized access or data loss.
- Oversee routine system backups and contingency measures.
- Serve as the first line of defense and technical escalation point for internal troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, or helpdesk roles.
- Advanced proficiency in administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace platforms.
- Strong expertise in managing cloud storage architectures (SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive) and granular permissions.
- Deep technical knowledge of Windows OS deployment, configuration, and endpoint security.
- Practical understanding of cybersecurity best practices, data protection, and backup management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- English Level: B2+ or higher (strong professional communication skills).
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting hybrid or distributed work environments.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and ITIL framework best practices.
- Basic understanding of network configuration, VPNs, and firewall management.
