About the Company:

The company is a ghostwriting and content agency that works only with cybersecurity startups. We help founders and executives at Series A companies, mostly CEOs and CTOs, build a strong and credible voice online. We also write for our clients' company pages.

Our clients work in a technical, crowded, and fast-moving industry. They trust us to turn their expertise into content that sounds like them, gets people engaged, and builds their reputation. They don't have much spare time, so they need it done without long revision cycles.

Demand for our work is growing faster than we can take it on. Writing capacity is now the main thing holding us back. This is a key hire that will directly shape how quickly we grow and how many clients we can serve.

 

About the Role: 

We're looking for a senior writer who knows cybersecurity well and can write in someone else's voice. You'll write thought-leadership content for startup founders and executives, and brand content for their company pages. Some clients want a creative, edgy, personality-driven tone. Others want serious, authoritative commentary. You'll need to move between the two comfortably.

This is not a job for a generalist who can "research any topic." Our clients are technical experts, and their audiences are security practitioners, buyers, and investors who can spot shallow content right away. You need to understand the subject well enough to write about it credibly, and write well enough that the result feels human, sharp, and worth reading.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ghostwrite thought-leadership content for cybersecurity startup founders and executives (CEOs, CTOs), capturing each person's voice, opinions, and expertise.
• Write content for client company pages, often in a bold, creative, or edgy brand voice.
• Turn technical cybersecurity topics into clear, engaging content that works for both practitioners and business audiences.
• Adapt your tone across clients and formats, from witty and provocative to serious and analytical.
• Deliver drafts that need very few revisions, so clients spend as little time as possible editing.
• Keep up with cybersecurity trends, threats, and industry conversations so client content stays timely and relevant.
• Work closely with the founder to understand each client's goals, audience, and positioning.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Must-haves

• Proven experience writing about cybersecurity, backed by published work in the field.
• A strong portfolio that shows your credentials and range. A portfolio is required to apply.
• Excellent written English that is clear, engaging, and natural.
• A human, authentic writing style. We're looking for writing that doesn't read as generic or AI-generated.
• Versatility across tones, from witty and edgy to serious and authoritative.
• Senior-level experience, ideally including work with executives or leadership teams.

 

Strong Pluses

• Ghostwriting experience, especially for founders, executives, or thought leaders.
• Experience writing for B2B tech or security startups.
• Familiarity with social platforms where founders build their personal brands, such as LinkedIn.
• A technical background or hands-on exposure to security concepts.

 

How Success is Measured:

• Engagement: Your posts get strong engagement from the right audience. This is the main measure.
• Low revision load: Clients spend very little time editing your drafts.
• Quality: Clients see the writing as high-quality, credible, and true to their voice.
