We are a profitable, owner-led U.S. company based in Colorado. We operate a portfolio of three automotive-focused brands: an established vehicle service business, an early-stage B2B software platform built for independent repair shops, and a vehicle detailing business. The software was developed and proven inside our own service business and is now being brought to market to other shop owners.
We are lean, data-driven, and genuinely early adopters of AI and automation in how we operate and grow. The owner is hands-on and technical, and you would work with them directly.
About the Role
~1 min readWe are hiring a senior, hands-on marketing lead to own the full marketing function across all three brands: strategy, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement. You will report directly to the owner, who sets business goals and expects data-driven decisions, strong marketing fundamentals, and proactive follow-through, without managing you day to day.
This is not a build-from-scratch role on the service business. It has a solid foundation in SEO and paid media, and the current contractor will transition you in. Your job is to take it to the next level, well past its current plateau. For the software, you will help build and execute the go-to-market from an early stage. For detailing, you will build the booking funnel and growth engine as we scale it.
The owner is ready to step back from running marketing day to day and wants a senior operator who sets priorities, spots problems, brings well-supported ideas, and drives results independently. You will use AI and agentic tools to work efficiently, and you will have the autonomy to recommend where effort and budget should shift.
Time allocation is a guide, not a cap. Part of your job is to recommend where effort and budget should shift based on priorities, results, and capacity.
Brand A, established automotive service business (about 60%)
Our primary revenue driver and the largest share of your time. You own customer acquisition and retention: local SEO, Google Business Profile and listings, AI-search visibility, paid ads, social, website upkeep, reputation management, direct mail, SMS and email, declined-work follow-up campaigns, and referral programs. The foundation is in place; your mandate is growth beyond the current plateau.
Brand B, early-stage B2B software for repair shops (about 30%)
A web app sold to automotive service businesses, newly going to market. You own customer research, positioning, go-to-market, content, product videos, paid ads, social, SEO, demand generation, sales materials (case studies, one-pagers, comparison pages), onboarding and nurture sequences, software-review-site listings, and partnership outreach. You will work alongside the owner and a BDR on the sales motion.
Brand C, automotive detailing business (about 10%)
A bolt-on business we are ready to grow. You own the booking funnel, local SEO and listings, paid ads, reputation management, website upkeep, social, before-and-after content, and SMS and email for repeat bookings.
Responsibilities

- →Build and maintain a quarterly marketing plan for each brand: goals, channel mix, budget, and targets
- →Prioritize ruthlessly; every recommendation comes with expected impact, cost, and how it will be measured
- →Keep a record of tests, findings, and decisions to scale, revise, or stop
AI and agentic marketing
- →Build and maintain AI-assisted and agentic workflows for research, content, creative variants, review responses, and reporting; connect tools and data, define review steps, and monitor failures
- →Oversee short-form and explainer video produced with current AI tools alongside real footage; own scripts, briefs, and quality, coordinating support for high-volume production
- →Continuously evaluate new AI tools and recommend adoption when the ROI case is clear, protecting customer data and keeping appropriate human review
Paid media
- →Plan, launch, track, and optimize Google and Meta ad campaigns
- →Own approved budgets and acquisition targets; monitor spend, disapprovals, and tracking with prompt corrective action
- →Optimize for qualified leads and completed conversions, not lead volume alone
SEO, local search, and AI-search visibility
- →Own local SEO and Google Business Profile for the local brands: posts, photos, Q&A, categories, and listing accuracy
- →Own technical and on-page SEO and useful, accurate content
- →Evaluate and improve visibility in AI search tools
Website and conversion
- →Maintain and improve websites and landing pages; improve conversion through evidence-based testing
- →Own measurement with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console for call, form, and booking tracking; flag attribution gaps
Social, content, and video
- →Select and justify the right channels per brand and maintain focused content calendars, adjusting based on results
- →Own briefs, shot lists, and coordination with local teams for real footage, then edit and repurpose; write clear, audience-appropriate U.S. English
Reputation and lifecycle
- →Own reputation monitoring and timely, platform-compliant review responses and review-request programs
- →Build email and SMS campaigns for reactivation, seasonal promotions, nurture, and repeat business, with clean segmentation and opt-out handling
Founder brand and thought leadership
- →Build and manage the owner's professional presence on LinkedIn and X: positioning, a focused calendar, and ghostwritten posts in the owner's voice
- →Turn the owner's real experience growing a service business, building software, and applying AI into posts, video clips, and long-form content, and pursue relevant podcast and media appearances
- →Note: this stream can be supported by part-time specialist help where it makes sense
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of hands-on digital marketing, including 2+ years independently owning multi-channel marketing and results for small businesses
- Proven Google Ads and Meta Ads management with results you can quantify
- Strong local SEO and Google Business Profile experience
- Demonstrated, practical use of current AI and agentic tools to get work done faster and better
- Hands-on experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console
- Practical website publishing, content management, and landing-page optimization
- Advanced written and spoken English; you will write customer-facing copy for U.S. audiences
- Reliable availability for at least 6 hours of overlap with U.S. Mountain Time
- Comfortable as the sole marketing lead, setting priorities across brands and executing independently
These are not add-ons. The software brand is a core part of this role and our growth, so B2B SaaS experience carries real weight in how we evaluate candidates.
- B2B SaaS or startup go-to-market experience: customer research, product launches, trial or demo conversion, and lifecycle marketing
- Automotive, home services, or other local service business experience
- Experience managing a founder or executive personal brand, ghostwriting in someone else's voice, or booking podcast and speaking appearances
- Experience building marketing systems, dashboards, and reporting from the ground up
How you operate matters as much as your skills. We are hiring specifically for these behaviors.
- You catch issues early. You keep routine checks and alerts for broken links, forms, booking paths, tracking gaps, stale listings, ad disapprovals, and unanswered reviews, and you resolve or escalate with a recommendation.
- You lead, you do not follow. You bring tools, best practices, and recommendations without waiting for instructions.
- You own the plan. You keep a prioritized backlog across all three brands, with impact, effort, next action, and status. Direction from the owner is about goals, not step-by-step tasks.
- You report without being asked. You provide weekly updates on results, changes shipped, test findings, next priorities, and decisions needed, and you keep KPI dashboards current.
- You think in ROI. You present options with tradeoffs and a recommendation, execute within agreed budgets, and recommend specialist support when it is justified.
- First 30 days: Audit all three brands across channels, tracking, spend, content, listings, and conversion paths. Resolve urgent, accessible issues, validate core tracking, and present a 90-day plan per brand with targets, budget, and effort allocation.
- First 60 days: Run priority tests with verified tracking and weekly reporting, optimize paid campaigns against agreed targets, and put at least one AI or agentic workflow into regular use with measured time savings.
- First 90 days: Show progress against the service business's agreed targets, demonstrate clear positioning and tested acquisition and nurture activity for the software, stand up a tested booking funnel for detailing, and establish a consistent founder-brand cadence with media targets identified.
