As a Senior Director, Artist Lead within Marketing, you are the lead marketing & digital strategist across assigned roster. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of innovative marketing strategies for assigned artist projects, which will have a focus on Rock and Dance genres. You will lead collaboration across all internal departments, and all communication with external artist camps.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead the creation, development, and execution of marketing roll out strategies for assigned projects.
- →Participate in near- and long-term creative planning to ensure a clear and consistent message for assigned projects while acting as a central point of contact and lead for all assigned projects. Work with all departments in meeting deadlines and keeping a creative thread running throughout the projects.
- →Liaise with artist management on a regular basis and communicate label plans and expectations.
- →Manage campaign budgets for each assigned project.
- →Participate in managing release schedule as it pertains to assigned projects.
- →Lead brainstorm sessions w/ internal Viral/UGC & Audience Development teams to prepare campaign concepts for pitching and execution.
- →Assist in the creation & execution of artist messaging calendars across social media websites ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- →Liase w/ internal short form content team to support campaign rollout and ensure all content needs are underway.
- →Oversee and own digital setup across artist profile and campaign rollout.
- →Liase & collaborate w/ internal audience development team across assigned artists to ensure proper on-going campaign engagement.
- →Liase & collaborate w/ internal VIRL/UGC team to support online creator & sound growth campaigns.
- →Research and evaluate customer needs, industry landscape, and market/cultural trends.
- →Identify and analyze new and innovative exposure and revenue generating opportunities for assigned artists.
- →Coordinate video launches with release planning, including acquiring ISRCs, setting up YouTube premieres, and monitoring engagement metrics to ensure successful video rollouts.
- →Work with artist management and A&R on assessing artist development needs.
- →Ideate and execute lifestyle marketing strategies to position artist/roster within highly engaged cultural and lifestyle communities, fostering deep emotional connections, brand affinity, and advocacy.
- →Work directly with internal publicity team on assigned artist campaign strategy. Liase w/ external indie press partners, as needed, to ensure campaign execution.
- →Work with International Marketing department to ensure marketing plans and project needs are met and executed on a global basis.
- →Liase w/ internal experiential marketing team on the planning and execution of artist showcases/listening parties/events.
- You’re a passionate music fan with at least 8 years of progressive marketing experience in the music industry and expertise in breaking artists in the Dance and Rock spaces.
- Self-starter who adapts quickly to change and can work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting compelling narratives and collaborating with various teams including artists camps and senior management.
- Creative thinker with a demonstrated ability to apply ideas strategically while working to a set budget and timeline.
- Ability to generate original and engaging digital marketing and content ideas that align with the artist's brand.
- Proficient with major social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Triller, YouTube Reddit and Snapchat.
- Strong understanding of short form content and what performs best online.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability and Learning Agility: Openness to feedback, willingness to learn new skills, and adaptability to rapidly changing digital trends and technologies.
