Civil Designer

We are seeking an experienced Civil Designer to support our civil and multidisciplinary engineering teams by delivering high-quality civil design, drafting, and modelling solutions across a range of infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and project teams to develop accurate designs, drawings, models, and technical documentation for projects including land development, transport, drainage, subdivisions, industrial, and commercial developments. This role plays an important part in ensuring technical quality, efficient project delivery, and continuous improvement of design and drafting practices across the business.

• Work Setup: Work-from-home (Candidates must be willing to visit Sourcefit’s Manila office for training, meetings, and team activities when required.)
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Philippine Time (Must be comfortable working with Australian time zones and adjusting schedules when required)

• →Preparing civil engineering designs, drawings, models and technical documentation for infrastructure projects - including roads and highways, footpaths and accessways, earthworks and grading, stormwater drainage (piped, overland and attenuation), water and sewer reticulation, car parks, building corridors, subdivisions, and industrial and commercial developments.
• →Develop concept, preliminary, and detailed civil designs, including supporting calculations, layouts, and technical reports.
• →Producing accurate drawings and models using Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• →Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards and client requirements
• →Coordinating civil designs with other disciplines and monitoring progress against design programs.
• →Assisting the civil team to deliver projects on time and within budget, identifying risks and proposing practical solutions.
• →Support quality outcomes through accurate documentation, design checks, document control, and timely responses to project requirements.
• →Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, workflows, and project delivery practices.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design and drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D or 12D Model.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, mark-ups and design instructions, and to prepare design calculations, layouts and technical reports.
• Good understanding of civil design principles across roads, earthworks, drainage, and reticulation.
• Experience coordinating civil designs with other disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

• Experience supporting the Australian civil engineering or infrastructure consulting market (advantageous but not required).
• Experience with BIM coordination, quality assurance processes, or design workflows.
• Experience using additional platforms such as GIS, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms.
• Certificate or tertiary qualification in civil engineering, drafting, design, or a related discipline.
