Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is a key member of the finance organization, providing transactional support to the Accounts Payable department. This position involves high-volume processing of expense reports and invoices.

• →Meet transaction targets in a high-volume accounts payable department
• →Process and match invoices to purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies
• →Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• →Respond to questions from vendors and internal departments in a timely manner
• →Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
• →Provide support to the department by processing expense reports, maintaining Excel reports, importing, and exporting databases and files
• →Payment coordination on a weekly basis
• →Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

• 3+ years of accounts payable, finance, or operations experience (internship experience qualifies)

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong motivation for automation and process improvement
• General knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience with Excel and MS Dynamics 365 or other ERP accounting systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with SQL
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Must be willing to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
• This position is based in Hawthorne, CA (Los Angeles area), and requires being onsite full-time - hybrid and remote work will not be considered
