Shipping Clerk

SparkFun’s Shipping Department is responsible for fulfilling customer orders efficiently and accurately. Our team is made up of adaptable, fun individuals who are dedicated to shipping merchandise and exceeding customer expectations.

Shipping Clerks will be responsible for performing duties that maintain good inventory practices and a productive work environment. This will include but is not limited to: utilizing our ERP system to pick and ship inventory, packaging orders for shipment according to SparkFun's standards, and packaging of Lithium Batteries according to current Hazmat regulations. Someone who likes being on their feet and working on a team will enjoy this environment. Overall, we are looking for a helpful addition to our energetic shipping department and a great contributor to the SparkFun community.

• Daily workflow of order fulfillment (Picking and Packing)
• Accurately and efficiently pick products from inventory shelves (3,000+ unique SKUs)
• Pack orders, ensuring contents are correct and securely positioned for safe shipment
• Maintain hazmat compliance for all applicable orders (specific training and certification will be provided)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (4-7 hours per day)
• Time management & punctuality skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience & desire to work collaboratively as a team in a fast-paced, positive environment

• Has shipping and/or warehousing systems experience
• Hazmat handling certification
• Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Friendly, approachable attitude
• Familiarity with Google's Suite of products, including GMail, Docs, & Sheets
