Spire Little Aston Hospital is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Pre Operative Assessment department on a bank contract You will join a warm, friendly and supportive team working adhoc shifts across Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.

A Bank contract at Spire Healthcare is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospital. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance. • →Assisting nurses with comprehensive pre-operative assessments.
• →As an HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient’s health and well-being.
• →Updating patient records accurately.
• →Ensuring medical questionnaires and documentation are completed.
• →Booking appointments or coordinating further tests when required.
• →Maintaining confidentiality and following data protection procedures.
• →Supporting patients who may be anxious about surgery.

• Previous experience working within a clinical setting (hospital/GP surgery) is essential
• Phlebotomy training is essential for this role
• As an HCA, you will be fundamental in providing Healthcare Support to our Clinical Team to ensure patients receive the best possible personal care.
• System literacy is essential
• Must be accurate and have a strong desire for attention to detail
• Assisting nurses with comprehensive pre-operative assessments.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic clinical skills and knowledge of patient care.
• Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.
