Spire Little Aston Hospital is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Pre Operative Assessment department on a bank contract You will join a warm, friendly and supportive team working adhoc shifts across Monday-Friday 8am-6pm.
A Bank contract at Spire Healthcare is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospital. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assisting nurses with comprehensive pre-operative assessments.
- →As an HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient’s health and well-being.
- →Updating patient records accurately.
- →Ensuring medical questionnaires and documentation are completed.
- →Booking appointments or coordinating further tests when required.
- →Maintaining confidentiality and following data protection procedures.
- →Supporting patients who may be anxious about surgery.
- Previous experience working within a clinical setting (hospital/GP surgery) is essential
- Phlebotomy training is essential for this role
- As an HCA, you will be fundamental in providing Healthcare Support to our Clinical Team to ensure patients receive the best possible personal care.
- System literacy is essential
- Must be accurate and have a strong desire for attention to detail
- Assisting nurses with comprehensive pre-operative assessments.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic clinical skills and knowledge of patient care.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.
