The Senior Program Manager will drive cross-functional initiatives that are critical to delivering high-impact outcomes for the product organization. You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to plan, execute, and optimize strategic programs that align with company goals. This role requires a systems thinker who thrives in ambiguity, excels at stakeholder coordination, and brings a strong sense of accountability and structure to fast-paced programs that rely on various teams to deliver holistic business impact. 

This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, align with strategic goals, and enhance the overall member, customer, provider, and/or Spring employee experience.

This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Product Operations. Please note that this is a hybrid role based in New York City, with an expectation to be in office 2-3 days a week. Our office is located at 60 Madison Avenue. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end program planning, execution, and delivery across multiple product, engineering, and cross-functional teams teams.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans - including success metrics, and timelines in collaboration with product leadership - ensuring on-time delivery and transparent communication across stakeholders.
  • Drive clear communication and alignment across internal and external stakeholders. Continuously gather and apply stakeholder feedback to enhance the quality, reliability, and impact of program outcomes.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers—facilitating resolution and tradeoff decisions.
  • Foster continuous improvement by implementing scalable processes, retrospectives, and feedback loops.
  • Cross-functional initiatives are delivered on time and within scope, with clearly documented milestones, owners, and measurable outcomes.
  • Product and engineering teams feel unblocked and well-coordinated, thanks to streamlined communication, efficient rituals, and clearly managed dependencies.
  • Programs consistently ladder up to strategic company goals, with clear reporting on progress, risks, and business impact.
  • Stakeholders trust the program manager as a source of clarity and accountability, proactively surfacing issues and enabling fast, informed decision-making.
  • Continuous improvement practices are in place, including retrospectives, process iteration, and tooling enhancements that improve team efficiency over time.
  • Metrics are tracked and used to drive action, such as velocity, throughput, roadmap completion rate, or NPS of internal stakeholder satisfaction.
  • 5+ years of program management, product operations, project management experience within a high-performing tech org, preferably embedded in product or engineering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders, including communicating effectively to the executive level.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Coda)
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a high volume and frequency of detailed requests, some of which require a tight turnaround
  • Proven self-management, time-management and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset for prioritizing and decision-making

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Revenue orgs, Marketing, Customer Success and Sales
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle of Product and Engineering teams and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
  • Experience working in healthcare, digital health, or other regulated industries, with an understanding of clinical, compliance, or member/patient impact considerations.

The target base salary range for this position is $159,100 - $196,480 and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
