We are currently seeking a Field Engineer in Denver, CO to join our team
Key duties include schedule input; submittals; preparing field work packages; compiling as-built data; verifying installation quantities; field safety and quality inspections.Perform procurement quantity takeoffs.Daily reports in construction management software.Compile necessary information for all submittals and coordinate with Document Control to ensure proper documentation.Assist Superintendent with coordination of material deliveries.Perform field verifications, inspections and measurements.Work closely with document control and field personnel to ensure they have latest drawings and installation documents.Provide schedule update information to project scheduler.Ensure that work is correctly cost coded and all extra work is coded to separate cost codes as assigned by the Project Engineer or other.Update drawings with redlines of as-built information.Attend necessary briefings and safety meetings as required.Attain necessary job specific training and maintain annual requirements.Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent.Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in a construction related position preferred.Five years or more of experience on railroad construction projects including experience with embedded track.Production and Cost TrackingAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsConstruction management course work or internship experience a plusMust be flexible in working in both office and field environment as needed.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with a teamMust have strong organization skillsMust be highly motivated
Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.Maintain a valid driver’s license and endorsements as required per position.Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
