Medicaid Program Advisor - Long-Term Care

Medicaid Program Advisor 1 Office of Aging & Long-Term CareAlbany, NY (50% Onsite / 50% Remote) About the Role Staffing Solutions Organization (SSO) is seeking a Medicaid Program Advisor 1 to support the New York State Department of Health's Office of Aging and Long-Term Care. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills who enjoys working with stakeholders across multiple programs and regions. Under the direction of the Bureau Director, the Medicaid Program Advisor 1 will manage a variety of program assignments, special projects, and operational activities that support long-term care and Medicaid service delivery throughout New York State. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary liaison to the Regional Resource Development Centers (RRDCs) across New York State. Provide technical assistance and support to RRDC staff and stakeholders. Track project assignments, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely responses to program inquiries. Develop, distribute, collect, and analyze statewide satisfaction survey data. Coordinate communication between RRDCs and the Department of Health's Managed Long-Term Care unit regarding monthly Medicaid enrollments. Serve as staff liaison to the Traumatic Brain Injury Services Coordinating Council, a 17-member advisory body. Manage and track council workplan activities, meetings, and deliverables. Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and briefing materials for leadership. Support program planning, policy implementation, and special initiatives. Facilitate meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications Eight (8) years of professional work experience. Preferred Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities. Experience coordinating multiple projects and competing priorities. Ability to analyze data and develop comprehensive reports for leadership. Experience facilitating meetings and working with cross-functional teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including: Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Knowledge of Medicaid, long-term care, healthcare administration, human services, or public health programs is preferred.
