Chief Financial Officer - Malta

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to play a pivotal role in managing and executing StablR’s financial strategy and ensuring the company's financial health. The CFO is responsible for finance, accounting, business control and tax and works closely with the executive team to make informed financial decisions, manage financial risks, and contribute to the overall success of the organization during all the different phases of growth. This role is Malta-based.

• Execute financial strategies aligned with the Company’s business objectives and growth plans. Drive the automation strategy of financial processes and contribute to the scalability of StablR.

• Oversee and continuously enhance Business Control, Financial Control, Financial Accounting, and Tax, and  regulatory reporting obligations.

• Lead the Company’s financial operations and safeguarding of assets.

• Responsible for addressing financial risks and opportunities for the company.

• Complement the executive team with strong knowledge of Maltese law, regulation and reporting requirements.

• Develop, implement and enhance financial procedures, governance frameworks and internal controls.

• Ensure the preparation of accurate, timely  and reliable financial and management reports.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant (Maltese & EU) financial regulations and accounting standards and evolving regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as a member of key governance and management committees.

  • Prepare and present financial, regulatory, and strategic reports to the Board of Directors and relevant committees.

• Support the Board and executive team in capital raising initiatives, strategic transactions  and complex business development projects.

• Lead and develop a growing finance function, fostering a collaborative, diverse, and high-performing team culture.

• Master's degree in Business Economics or Finance added preferably with MBA, CPA, or equivalent.

• 8+ years of management experience at global scale, with deep experience in finance within payments/fintech/blockchain or other regulated business.

• Strong believer in Blockchain and digital assets functionalities.

• Blockchain obsession: a clear track record in the crypto/blockchain space is a plus.

• Hands-on, independent and can-do mentality.

• Able to drive and build financial operations for new business lines and processes.

• Experience managing internal stakeholders, including executive stakeholders. You have great communication and internal stakeholder empathy skills.

• Excellent analytical skills with ability to simplify complex facts and persistent in solving high level problems quickly and efficiently.

• Detailed knowledge of the industry and applicable laws and regulations.

• Experience interacting with regulatory authorities.

• Previously PQ’d by the MFSA is considered an asset.
