Staff Accountant / Heavy A/P – Construction (North Atlanta)

Staff Accountant opportunity with a well-established construction company in the North Atlanta / Suwanee area, and based on your background I thought it could be a strong fit.

This is a direct-hire, long-term role. The immediate focus is heavy, full-cycle Accounts Payable — well beyond basic invoice entry — with a clear path to grow into a broader staff accountant position and become a key right-hand to the accounting leadership.

Staff Accountant / Heavy A/P – Construction (North Atlanta)

What the role involves:

• Full-cycle A/P, job cost coding, and account reconciliations
• Vendor and subcontractor documentation (W-9s, COIs, lien waivers/releases)
• Follow-up and communication with vendors, subs, project managers, and internal staff
• Room to grow into month-end close, billing, retainage, and pay applications

What they're looking for:

• 1+ year of construction accounting experience (2+ preferred)
• Hands-on, full-cycle A/P experience with real volume
• Strong Excel and sharp attention to detail
• A polished self-starter looking for a long-term home, not a quick jump

Procore experience is a plus but not required — they're implementing it now, so you can learn it alongside the team. Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) or QuickBooks experience is a bonus.

Compensation: $60k-$75k plus bonus and benefits.
