Cloud-Native Developer (ID:3240)

As a Cloud-Native Developer, you will: Design, implement, and enhance cloud-native software components primarily in Python, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability. Contribute to upstream OpenStack and related open-source tools and services. Fix bugs, resolve incidents, and implement changes in critical production environments. Write and maintain unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure code quality. Deploy services to Kubernetes, including Helm chart creation and CRD/operator development. Monitor and improve observability using logs, metrics, and alerts (e.g., Prometheus, Perses). Support production systems through troubleshooting and on-call rotations as needed. Maintain technical documentation and follow Agile development practices including sprint planning, code reviews, and backlog grooming. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available and resilient cloud infrastructure. What You Bring to the Table: 6–8 years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Python (minimum 3 years), including async IO, design patterns, and packaging. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, deploying applications, Helm chart authoring, and CRD/operator development. Solid understanding of CICD pipelines and DevOps workflows. Proficiency with Git/GitHub or similar version control platforms. Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially OpenStack; exposure to AWS or Azure is a plus. Optional but beneficial: experience with observability stacks, contributing to open-source projects, understanding distributed systems, or familiarity with Go. You should possess the ability to: Develop and maintain cloud-native infrastructure components in Python. Deploy and operate applications in Kubernetes environments reliably. Troubleshoot complex issues in production cloud environments. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, high-quality software. Contribute to both internal and upstream open-source projects where applicable.
