The Coatings, Assembly, and Shipping Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily activities across Coatings, final assembly, and shipping functions within the metal fabrication facility.

Available Shift:

1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations Leadership

Lead and oversee daily operations of coating, assembly, and shipping departments.
Coordinate workflow between fabrication, finishing, and final shipment to ensure on-time delivery.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and adjust staffing or priorities as needed.
Ensure production goals, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.

Coatings (Finishing) Oversight

Supervise surface preparation, powder coating, painting, or finishing processes.
Ensure proper application techniques, curing processes, and material usage.
Monitor coating quality, thickness, adhesion, and finish consistency.
Maintain coating equipment and ensure proper operation and maintenance schedules.

Assembly Supervision

Oversee final assembly of fabricated components according to blueprints and work instructions.
Ensure accuracy, fit, and function of assembled products.
Resolve assembly issues and work with engineering or production teams when needed.

Shipping & Logistics

Coordinate packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished goods.
Verify orders for accuracy before shipment.
Work with logistics providers and internal teams to meet delivery schedules.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of outgoing products.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety policies, procedures, and proper use of PPE.
Conduct safety training and ensure team compliance with OSHA or company safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment (5S principles).

Team Leadership & Development

Train, mentor, and develop team members.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement

Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
Monitor key performance metrics (throughput, scrap rates, on-time shipping).
Support lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade education preferred.
2+ years experience in metal fabrication, coatings, assembly, or manufacturing.
1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
