Job Description: The Room Inspector is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas. This role combines the duties of a Room Attendant, which include cleaning and servicing guest rooms, with the responsibilities of a Room Inspector, which involve inspecting the rooms for quality control and compliance with Marriott’s standards.

Qualifications:
Experience: Previous housekeeping experience preferred, ideally in a hotel environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of housekeeping equipment and cleaning agents.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection of Guest Rooms:
Inspect cleaned rooms to ensure they meet Marriott’s quality standards.
Verify that all amenities and supplies are stocked and in good condition.
Check for proper room setup, cleanliness, and overall guest readiness.

Quality Assurance:
Identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to Room Attendants.
Document and report any discrepancies, maintenance issues, or safety hazards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Training and Support:
Assist in training new Room Attendants on cleaning procedures and standards.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to housekeeping staff.

Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of inspections and report findings to the housekeeping manager.
Assist with inventory control and ensure proper use of supplies.

Clean and Service Guest Rooms:
Make beds, change linens, and replace towels.
Clean bathrooms, dust furniture, and vacuum floors.
Replenish amenities such as toiletries, coffee, and tea supplies.
Empty trash and remove room service items.

Maintain Equipment and Supplies:
Ensure cleaning carts are stocked with necessary supplies.
Report any maintenance issues or broken items to the maintenance department.
Use and store cleaning products properly to ensure safety.
