Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an experienced General Foreman to lead electrical construction projects across industrial, water/wastewater, and data center projects. This position is responsible for overseeing multiple crews, coordinating field operations, driving productivity, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

The General Foreman serves as a key field leader, working closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Foremen, and customers to deliver successful projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the project team, customers, subcontractors, and field personnel.

• Always produce high quality work safely and productively.

• Lead and supervise multiple Foremen, Leadmen, and electrical crews across assigned projects.

• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and subcontractor activities to support project schedules.

• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure work is installed correctly and efficiently.

• Monitor crew productivity, quality, and schedule performance while identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Mentor and develop Foremen, Leadmen, apprentices, and future field leaders.

• Coordinate daily construction activities with Superintendents, Project Managers, vendors, and other trades.

• Conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and NEC requirements.

• Eliminate “Production Waste” such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and time.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 8 years of electrical construction experience.

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Foreman or equivalent field leadership role.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, NEC requirements, and safety regulations.

• Experience supervising multiple crews and supporting large-scale electrical construction projects.

• Must be able to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project schedules.

• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License preferred.

• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.

• Experience on industrial, manufacturing, water/wastewater, data center, or large commercial projects.

• Experience developing field leaders and workforce planning initiatives.

• Work up to a 12-hour shift doing physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.

• Will climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts.

• Will lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.

• Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects on a frequent basis.

• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.

• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.

• May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis.

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, and safety vest).

• Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
