From our hatcheries to our “ready to eat” state of the art cooking facilities we service customers in the retail, food service and industrial sectors. We are proud of our support of the Canadian farm as well as our investment in the latest equipment and technologies at our facilities across Canada. Our test kitchens have the most current cooking equipment replicating that used in commercial establishments, to facilitate precision testing. This way you know the product you receive will perform to your expectations. Purpose:
To provide the Plant with a high level of maintenance expertise that ensures company objectives are supported, maintenance goals are efficiently and effectively met, departmental downtime goals and preventative maintenance schedules are achieved. To carry out equipment and building repairs as required, while adhering to quality, safety, food safety and legislative standards and guidelines.
 
Schedule : Sunday to Wednesday 8:30am - 7pm
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Overhaul and install new equipment.
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Generate parts requests to ensure adequate inventory
  • Complete work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Senior Management
  • Perform Equipment change-over’s and production line set up
  • General Housekeeping – maintain tools, shop area and parts storage in good working order
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Completion and Possession of a red-seal Interprovincial Millwright Ticket.
  • Have 1 to 3 years related experience preferred.
  • Able to work flexible shifts.
  • Mechanically inclined and have manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
  • Experience in a Food Processing Facility is an asset
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Be success-driven and have a “can do” attitude
  • Be able to work independently, as well as being a strong team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a good attendance and safety record
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to take up additional duties and cross-train
