This is an opportunity for an accomplished collision center leader who takes pride in running a profitable, efficient, quality-driven operation and wants the facility, equipment, certifications, and organizational support to do the job right.

Our collision center is an I-CAR Gold facility with OEM certifications for multiple brands, including Audi, Infiniti, Volkswagen, General Motors, Hyundai, Genesis, and Volvo. Sunset has made a significant investment in our facility, equipment, training, and people to build an operation capable of meeting today's demanding repair standards. We are looking for the right manager to build on that foundation and continue moving the department forward.

As Body Shop Manager, you will have responsibility for the performance and day-to-day operation of the collision center, including:

  • Leading all daily collision center operations
  • Managing technicians, estimators, production staff, and administrative personnel
  • Driving production efficiency, profitability, cycle time, and CSI
  • Managing workflow from the initial estimate through final vehicle delivery
  • Monitoring repair orders, supplements, parts, labor, gross profit, and cycle time
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with insurance carriers and adjusters
  • Ensuring repairs are performed accurately, safely, and according to OEM repair procedures
  • Recruiting, training, coaching, developing, and holding team members accountable
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and open repair orders
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and professional facility
  • Ensuring compliance with manufacturer, insurance, and industry requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to grow collision volume and increase market share
  • Building a culture focused on quality, accountability, teamwork, and customer satisfaction

Our ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands both the operational and financial sides of the collision business. You should be comfortable managing people, production, insurance relationships, repair quality, and profitability while keeping the customer experience at the center of the operation.

Qualifications we're looking for include:

  • Proven success managing a collision repair center
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-development skills
  • Solid understanding of collision center financials and key performance indicators
  • Experience managing production, cycle time, labor, parts, supplements, and gross profit
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable and open RO management
  • CCC ONE estimating and Production Management experience
  • I-CAR certifications strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with OEM certification requirements and repair procedures
  • Reynolds experience is a plus

Most importantly, we're looking for a manager who knows what a well-run collision center looks like and has the ability to lead one.

This is more than an opportunity to manage a body shop. You'll be joining an established, stable, family and locally owned automotive group on Florida's beautiful Gulf Coast.

We believe good managers should have the resources and support necessary to succeed. Sunset has invested heavily in our people, facilities, equipment, training, and manufacturer relationships, and we're looking for a leader who can put those resources to work.

Benefits include:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Life and Disability Coverage
  • Paid Time Off, available to use after 6 months
  • Company-paid factory and I-CAR training
  • Employee discounts at all Sunset locations
  • Florida has no individual state income tax

If you're an experienced collision center manager looking for an established organization, a professionally equipped facility, and the opportunity to lead a quality-focused operation, we'd like to hear from you.

Complete our online application and tell us about your collision management experience. Qualified candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview.
