Facility Maintenance Worker

POSITION SUMMARY:

You'll handle daily facility upkeep, housekeeping, and safety support on our production floor. This includes keeping machine coolant topped off, running the wastewater evaporator, maintaining restrooms, doing daily safety checks, and helping the Maintenance Manager with repairs and projects.

Daily Responsibilities

• Check and top off coolant levels on all production machines.
• Fill and start the wastewater evaporator; seal and properly store all drums and containers after use.
• Clean and restock restrooms (trash, sinks, counters, paper products, soap), and report leaks or broken fixtures.
• Do daily safety walk-throughs: keep 36" clearance around electrical panels and transformers, keep PPE stations clear, confirm fall protection chains are in place, and keep pallet stacks flat and no more than six high.
• Log all work in our CMMS (Limble), including work orders, preventive maintenance, repairs, and janitorial tasks, with before/after photos, notes, and estimated completion dates.
• Work from daily and weekly priorities set by the Maintenance Manager and complete tasks by their due dates.
  
  

As-Needed Duties

• Floor care: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and vacuuming, plus dusting and fixture cleaning.
• Trash and recycling removal.
• Grounds upkeep: sweeping and washing walkways, basic landscaping.
• Tracking maintenance supplies
• Reporting needed repairs to lighting, HVAC, and ventilation.
• Minor painting, plumbing, and general repairs with hand tools.
• Helping the maintenance team with machine, lighting, airline, and water line repairs.
  
  

What we are looking for:

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced shop.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Able to read and follow safety instructions, SDS sheets, and work orders in English, and document work clearly.
• Comfortable using a computer, tablet, or phone app to log work (we'll train you on Limble).
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED; forklift experience.
