THis role will be supporting the Western region and is based in Southern California. Travel is required. 


The SRD Human Resource role has a national salary range of $152,000- $248,000.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Support current and future business needs through personnel development, engagement, and retention.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders across the region as well as: DSC North America, DHL Supply Chain, and DP DHL to share best practices and resources.
  • Collaborate with DSC North America HR and other functions, considering local issues in strategy development.
  • Stay informed on political and social developments that may impact the business.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Create a people strategy to guide senior leadership on organizational matters.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance workplace climate and culture across all sites.

Growth:

  • Manage training for interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and harassment.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to leaders, actively listening to associate concerns.
  • Oversee staffing, succession planning, and associate programs.
  • Implement training and development activities, monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Support start-up initiatives.

Compliance:

  • Develop procedures to measure and report compliance with HR policies and best practices.
  • Ensure HR policies align with statutory regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee compliance with all HR-related laws and regulations.
  • Manage investigations within your area of responsibility.
  • Administer compensation and benefits systems and employee communications.
  • Ensure effective execution of performance management systems.
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent 4 years work experience, required
  • Master’s degree in Human resources or other related field, preferred
  • 10+ years experience in HR, required
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional, preferred
  • Previous experience partnering with senior management, required
  • Previous experience partnering with senior management, required
  • Proven experience of leading deployment of organizational change, required
  • Demonstrable experience with HR Metrics, required
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices, required
  • Ability to understand a complex matrix organization and obtain results while operating in that type of environment, required
