Mechanical Bill-of-Materials Reviewer supporting Nvidia
Quick Summary
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Sustainable Talent is partnering with NVIDIA, a global leader that has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for over 25 years. We are looking for a Mechanical CAD & BOM Reviewer to support our client's Design Tool Infrastructure Team.
This is a full-time (W-2) contract role based in Santa Clara, CA, with competitive pay of $55/hr–$65/hr, based on factors such as experience, education, and location. We provide full benefits, PTO, and an amazing company culture.
You will support a team responsible for the Design Tool Infrastructure used across NVIDIA's system products, which span applications including supercomputers, autonomous vehicles, and consumer gaming platforms. This role will primarily support a SimReady digital twin project, focused on reviewing and validating mechanical CAD data. You will work with existing CAD files and bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure that the correct information is associated across systems and resources.
This is a CAD review and data validation role, not a mechanical design position. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable performing structured, repetitive review work with a high level of accuracy.
What you'll be doing
- Review existing mechanical CAD files for NVIDIA datacenter system products.
- Match bill-of-materials (BOM) information to the appropriate mechanical CAD files and assemblies.
- Compare CAD files and associated data across systems to verify that the correct files and information are matched.
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies and work with mechanical designers and engineering teams to clarify and resolve them.
- Support the SimReady digital twin project by reviewing and providing CAD data for conversion into digital twins.
- Document findings and communicate questions or issues to the appropriate team members.
- Perform detailed, repetitive validation work while maintaining a high level of accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with team members across different departments and global time zones.
What we need to see:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience working with mechanical CAD, BOMs, engineering documentation, CAD data, or related technical information.
- Hands-on experience using CAD software to open, navigate, and review existing mechanical CAD files.
- Understanding of mechanical parts and assemblies, particularly those associated with datacenter systems, racks, or similar hardware.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform methodical, repetitive work accurately and consistently.
- Ability to compare information across files or systems, identify discrepancies, and ask questions or seek clarification when something does not appear correct.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different departments and time zones.
Ways to stand out:
- Previous experience with PTC Creo CAD software.
- Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
- Experience with BOM validation, CAD data management, CAD libraries, engineering documentation, or CAD review/quality control.
- Experience working with datacenter hardware, racks, mechanical assemblies, or similar complex hardware products.
Sustainable Talent is a M/F+, disabled, and veteran equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
