Br Boiler Room Engineer

The Boiler Room Engineer monitors and operates systems and equipment, makes necessary adjustments to main equipment, and performs routine and preventative maintenance with attention to detail.

 Perform scheduled and emergency work per direction of supervisor to maintain all assigned equipment and components.
 Make rounds and perform all adjustments, as required, to plant equipment per task and verbal instruction. Report conditions to the maintenance office in writing
 Document findings, deficiencies, and man-hours on work orders.
 Maintain a clean and safe work area.
 Adhere to all company work and safety rule
 Assist other crafts as required following union and management guidelines.
 Maintain operating logs, records of equipment performance, inspections and repairs
 Respond to equipment alarms, utility interruptions, and emergency conditions
 Coordinate with contractors and vendors performing work within the boiler plant.
 Comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work, confined space entry and hazard communication procedures
 Conduct boiler startup, shutdown and equipment isolation procedures in accordance with company procedures
 Ability to work independently with limited supervision
 Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs.
 Must be available to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, storms and overtime as needed.

 Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
