Maintenance Millwright Journeyman 1 Sylvamo’s Ticonderoga, NY Mill is located on the shores of Lake Champlain.  In operation since 1971, the mill produces high-end printing and technical papers harvested from Adirondack and Vermont forests.  We employ over 600 dedicated employees focused on safety, environment, quality and production. This is a journeyman-level millwright position responsible to complete scheduled and routine maintenance work along with performing many other duties both as part of a team and independently. The hourly pay rate is $35.76 per hour, as of June 1, 2024 Requirements: Minimum High School graduate or GED equivalent Experience as Millwright apprentice or helper, and obtained Journeyman status Mechanical Industrial technology degree Certificate from accredited college or trade school Willing and capable of working all shifts Experience (Desired Skills): Desire to work in manufacturing setting Shaft alignment Bearing installation Precision practices Reading mechanical drawings Measuring fits and tolerances Power transmissions and rotating equipment Highly motivated, results-driven individual who can also perform well in a team setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Only qualified applicants will be invited to complete a prescreen assessment.
