Sylvamo - Emergency Medical Technician

  Qualifications   Completion of NYS Basic EMT course 2 years - EMT Experience that includes response to acute injuries and medical emergencies Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses Valid NYS Driver's License BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Basic computer skills including proficiency in word processing and databases Data entry skills Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier) Excellent customer service skills Excellent communication skills Overnight Shift, Weekends and Holidays (Required)   Responsibilities The Industrial Emergency Medical Technician will be responsible for performing as a collaborative member of the occupational health team on-site at client company medical facilities They will be able to provide a safe screening environment for evaluation of injuries and first aid needs occurring in the industrial setting under the direction of the Occupational Health physician or on-site RN Program Manager Responds promptly to, assesses, monitors, provides necessary medical treatment, and prepares for potential transport of patients in the industrial setting in emergent situations in accordance with department, system and New York State DOH policies, procedures, and standards Responsible for administrative duties including timely and accurate documentation in written and electronic medical records, uploading documents, data entry, scheduling appointments and dissemination of information by email. Maintains supply management and quality control of first aid kits, emergency response bags, AEDs, oxygen tanks, and other medical department equipmentOperate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles Maintains professional certifications by attending in-service training programs Responsible for administrative duties including timely and accurate documentation in written and electronic medical records, uploading documents, data entry, scheduling appointments and dissemination of information by email.  Maintains supply management and quality control of first aid kits, emergency response bags, AEDs, oxygen tanks, and other medical department equipment Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles Maintains professional certifications by attending in-service training programs
