Software Engineer

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in our Bangalore office

We are hiring for a Software Engineer who will work closely with other engineers of varying disciplines (DevOps, QA, Front-End ReactJS, etc.), product teams, as well as other parts of the organization. They craft applications in Java/Kotlin, leveraging AWS, CircleCI, and Terraform. We are always looking to adopt modern technology to solve business challenges. • Build features and solutions to collect, moderate, and/or deliver user-generated content to our customers
• Become an expert in multiple solutions and areas of the codebase, while understanding the larger architecture of the entire suite of solutions
• Participate in technical brainstorming and knowledge transfer sessions; provide technical input at both team and department levels
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, UX designers, operations, and other teams to build a cohesive experience
• Contribute to each step of the product development process, including ideation, design, planning, architecture, development, testing, release, and maintenance
• Participate in and contribute to CI/CD, application monitoring, security, and developer tooling initiatives
• Support additional responsibilities as needed

• 5+ years of full-stack application development using Kotlin and Java with AWS
• 3+ years of experience developing APIs for front-end applications
• 5+ years of experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and large data sets
• 1+ years of experience leveraging and maintaining CI/CD tooling (CircleCI, Drone, GitHub Actions)
• 2+ years of experience leveraging infrastructure as code using Terraform
• 1+ years of experience with event-driven development (SQS, SNS, Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub) and idempotent patterns
• Experience leveraging automated database DDL (Liquibase, Flyway) (preferred but not required)
• Experience with object data stores (AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, GCP Cloud Storage) and/or document data stores (AWS DynamoDB,
• MongoDB, NoSQL) (preferred but not required)
• Experience building containerized applications (Docker) and deploying them to orchestration platforms (AWS ECS, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) (preferred but not required)
• Experience with source control tools such as Git (preferred but not required)
