Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage services provided by courier service providers, ensuring service levels are met.
- →Plan, schedule, assign, inspect, record and organise distribution operations as per agreed customer SLA’s
- →Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the department, ensuring regular reviews of SOPs, and identify areas where SOP’s can be improved and implement changes accordingly
- →Daily manage all assigned deliveries and highlight problems to clients and follow through until resolved.
- →Daily manage interfaces to ensure alignment between courier systems and company systems ensuring data integrity of information used.
- →Report, analyze, record and measure all failed deliveries and problem parcels to identify trends and root causes.
- →Maintaining good relationships and manage services of service providers and giving formally measured feedback
- →Examine claims for loss or damage and send to manager for approval of processing.
- →Reconciling of transport account to the agreed monthly rates and ensure that requirements have been met, and recommend payment amount to Courier Manager.
- →Continuously seeking innovative courier solutions for our clients to provide a more encompassed service to our clients.
Requirements
~1 min read- Post Matric Qualification in logistics or relevant
- At least 3 years in a distribution and 3PL environment
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and packages Computer Literacy Prior of knowledge & keeping abreast of transport legislative requirements
- Able to work under pressure & project a professional image of the company
