Who We're Looking for  a Talented Junior Graphic Designer

This position reports to the Training Manager

Responsibilities

  • Apply acquired design skills, tools, and techniques to practical work assignments across takealot.com, TFS, and Mr D.
  • Demonstrate continuous learning by incorporating feedback and showing measurable improvement in design output over time.
  • Assist Training Manager and stakeholders with the creation of design assets across digital and print platforms, under guidance and supervision.
  • Contribute to concept development, layout design, basic visual assets, and production-ready artwork in line with brand guidelines.
  • Prepare and amend design files based on feedback, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Training, and Operations where required.
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and feedback sessions, articulating ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Seek clarification and guidance proactively when requirements are unclear.
  • Adhere to internal design standards, file management practices, and version control processes.
  • Manage assigned tasks responsibly, demonstrating reliability, time management, and accountability.
  • Maintain a professional attitude aligned with Takealot Group values, including openness to feedback and a willingness to learn.
  • Engage in regular check-ins with line managers and/or mentors to review performance, learning progress, and development areas.
  • Work with the Training team to track learning milestones and demonstrate readiness for increased responsibility over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diplomas
  • 1-2 years’ experience
