The Network Operations Centre (NOC) primarily serves the offshore industry and operates 24/7 on a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, and night shifts. The NOC is the hub of activity at Tampnet and you will work in a team that serves as the central point of contact for several departments including Subsea, Technology and Architecture, Solutions Implementation and Deployments and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • →

    Handle customer calls, incidents, alarms, and service requests, escalating complex or higher-level (L2+) issues to the Operations Engineer or shift lead according to the Tampnet escalation matrix.

    Monitor the network for incidents and events, ensuring timely first-line (L1) response.

  • →

    Perform daily / nightly NOC checklists, operational routines, and archive reports.

  • →

    Support follow-the-sun coordination with other GNOC teams.

  • →

    Support coordination and execution of planned network changes.

  • →

    Assist with SLA uptime calculations and reporting.

  • →

    Perform basic administration of users and access.

  • →

    Ensure adherence to ITIL-aligned practices and continuous service improvement.

  • →

    Carry out first-line analysis of events / incidents and basic problem solving.

  • →

    Maintain and follow operational documentation, runbooks, and checklists.

  • →

    Ensure clear and timely communication with customers and internal stakeholders on first-line matters.

  • →

    Support internal reporting on ticket volumes and incident trends, as requested.

  • →

    Contribute to a positive work environment in the team / department.

  • →

    Participate in projects and service delivery as necessary.

  • →

    Perform other technical tasks within his/her area of expertise.

Requirements

  •  Enrolled in, or having completed at least one year of, a relevant university program (e.g., computer science, telecom or electrical engineering), or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Basic understanding of IP networking and telecom infrastructure concepts.

  • Ability to work part-time / flexible shifts.
