DBT Primary Therapist Inpatient - Willowbrooke (Days)

To provide treatment for the adolescent and adult population under therapist care using the DBT model of therapy. DBT Treatment is provided by group therapy, individual sessions, family/couples therapy, family contact, and legal contact. The direction of treatment and the extent of the contacts will be determined by the treatment team. Therapist is to use their clinical individuality but must work effectively with the entire team.  Prior training in DBT is not required but the therapist must agree to adhering to the DBT fidelity model of treatment with our clients. 

Master's Degree

No prior work experience required

*Healthcare Provider (CPR)

*Safe Crisis Intervention for Patients and Professionals

*Ability to concentrate on the task in high traffic areas.

*Ability to deal with a crisis and potentially combative patients while maintaining personal and emotional terminology.

*Ability to empathetically relate to people.

*Ability to maintain information as highly confidential.

*Able to meet deadlines.

*Assessment and intervention skills.

*Basic data entry skills required and preference for basic computer skills.

*Employee will obtain initial CPR and Level II SCIPP certification within 90 days of employment.

*Familiar with clinical terminology.

*Familiarity with the continuum of care.

*Knowledge of DSM IV diagnostic criteria.

*Legible handwriting.

*Must have Master's degree in counseling or related fields and be license eligible (must hold license within 18 months of job date). Substance Abuse counselors MUST have a bachelor's degree and have certification equal to a CAC-1

*Persuasive manner and skills in overcoming denial and resistance to treatment.

*Time management and sound organization skills.
