Temporary Product Development Professional
Quick Summary
Building and managing the Product Development WIP Coordinating Design × PD and PD × Technical Design pass-offs Managing fabric and trim development, requests,
Taylor Stitch is looking for a San Francisco-based Product Development professional to join our team for an approximately 16-week assignment.
If you love the intersection of great product, thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and the details that make a collection come together, this could be a great opportunity to jump into the heart of what we do.
You’ll work closely with our Design, Product Development, Technical Design, and Product teams, as well as our factory partners, helping bring everything from seasonal collections to special projects and collaborations to life.
This is a hands-on role with a lot of ownership. The primary focus of this role will be Woven Tops and Knit Tops, with the opportunity to support development across the full line, including Outerwear, Sweaters, Bottoms, Accessories, and Special Projects/Collaborations. In other words, you’ll have broad exposure to the collection and a chance to work across many different product categories.
Responsibilities will include:
- Building and managing the Product Development WIP
- Coordinating Design × PD and PD × Technical Design pass-offs
- Managing fabric and trim development, requests, and approvals
- Reviewing samples and supporting fittings
- Preparing for and managing Line Adoption
- Following up with factories and keeping development aligned after Line Adoption
- Confirming PDPs across the collection
- Supporting the development and approval of labels, hangtags, and packaging
- Helping project-manage special projects and collaborations, including new packaging and labeling suites
We’re looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and genuinely excited about making product. Someone who can zoom out to manage a complicated development calendar, then zoom all the way in to catch the small details that matter.
You should have experience in apparel Product Development, be comfortable working with factories and cross-functional teams, and have a strong understanding of fabrics, trims, samples, fit, labels, and packaging.
Most importantly, you’re someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and enjoys being close to the product.
This is an approximately 16-week temporary maternity leave coverage role based in San Francisco.
