Per Diem Surgical Technologist

The Per Diem Surgical Technologist, under direct supervision by a Registered Professional Nurse, surgeon, or other healthcare professional, serves as part of a medical team providing surgical care to patients, facilitates the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures

• High School Graduate or GED
• Successful completion of Surgical Technologist Program
• One (1) to two (2) years of operating experience – REQUIRED
• Hold and maintain a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• OR
• Incumbents to the Position as of January 1, 2015: Provides evidence was employed as Surgical Technologist in healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one (1) year, occurring within the four (4) years immediately prior to January 1, 2015
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Demonstrated ability to do arithmetic and communicate in oral or written English
