Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist to help establish and scale OCM as a core capability within Information Services (IS). This role will serve as a change lead for technology and digital transformation initiatives, helping teams successfully adopt new systems, workflows, and ways of working. The OCM Specialist will partner with IS project teams, clinical and operational leaders, and key stakeholders across the organization to assess impacts, build readiness, manage resistance, and support successful adoption. This individual will also help develop repeatable OCM practices, tools, and standards that can be embedded into IS project delivery.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead organizational change management activities for Information Services initiatives and technology projects.
  • Develop and execute change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and adoption approaches.
  • Conduct stakeholder, change impact, readiness, and resistance assessments to identify adoption risks.
  • Partner with project managers, clinical leaders, operational teams, training, and communications to align change activities with project goals.
  • Translate complex technology, workflow, and process changes into clear and actionable communications.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and leadership alignment sessions.
  • Support go-live readiness, adoption monitoring, reinforcement activities, and sustainment planning.
  • Identify and mitigate change risks, barriers, and resistance to increase successful adoption.
  • Continuously enhance OCM templates, toolkits, standards, and best practices to strengthen IS project delivery and advance OCM maturity.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and OCM resource for project teams, leaders, and stakeholders.

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Eight (8) years of experience leading or supporting organizational change management, technology, process improvement, or system implementation initiatives.
    • Bachelor's degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience.
    • Master's degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
  • Up to three (3) years of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for information systems experience on a month-to-month basis.

 

  • Experience leading Organizational Change Management in a complex, matrixed healthcare organization.
  • Experience supporting large-scale system implementations and workflow changes.
  • Experience partnering with Information Services (IT), PMO, clinical operations, business operations, training, and communications teams.
  • Familiarity with OCM frameworks such as ADKAR and change champion networks.
  • Prosci, ACMP/CCMP, or similar change management certification preferred.
  • Healthcare, hospital operations, Epic/EHR, or complex healthcare technology implementation experience preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
