As an ‘Outstanding’ CQC-rated care provider Thornbury Community Services recruits healthcare assistants to play a vital role in the care and support our clients receive in the community. You will utilise your expertise, skills and knowledge to enable our clients to achieve their personal goals, learn new hobbies and live as independently as possible.

We are looking to recruit healthcare assistants in Essex with UK-based care experience and a full UK manual driving license to work with a female with an undiagnosed genetic disorder with elements of cerebral palsy. This client is an engaging, intelligent woman who communicates her needs via non verbal cues. She enjoys being chatted with, going out and about and loves watching medical drama's.

Requirements

We are looking for healthcare assistants with a minimum of 12 months of UK-based experience who are passionate, resilient and highly skilled. In order to be considered for this role we require the following key skills:

- Tracheostomy Care and Suction
- Ventilation via Tracheostomy
- Care and Use of Gastrostomy (Mickey Button/Stoma Care)

Additional information:

- Applicants must be ok around animals as the client has two dogs.

- Must be able to drive
