ProfitSolv is a SaaS business services provider for the legal and accounting industry. We are looking for a Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing team!
The Accounts Payable Manager will be expected to build out and lead our AP function. You will design and own the end-to-end procure-to-pay process, establish scalable policies and controls, and partner across the business to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant disbursement of company funds. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a clear playbook on standing up AP infrastructure that can scale alongside our growth.

As a Accounts Payable Manager, you will:
- Build & Scale the AP Function: Design, document, and operationalize the procure-to-pay workflow — including policies, SLAs, approval matrices, and segregation of duties.
- Full Procurement Cycle Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end procure-to-pay cycle, including PO creation, vendor onboarding, invoice intake and coding, 3-way match, approval routing, and payment execution.
- Payments & Disbursements: Manage weekly payment runs across ACH, wire, check, and virtual card; ensure timely vendor payment while optimizing cash flow.
- Vendor Management: Own vendor master data, W-9 collection, 1099 reporting, and vendor relationship management; serve as the escalation point for vendor inquiries and disputes.
- Month-End Close: Lead AP-related close activities, including accruals, reconciliations of the AP subledger to the general ledger, and resolution of aged items.
- Controls & Compliance: Establish and document internal controls over the AP process; support internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with company policy and applicable regulations.
- Automation & Systems: Drive automation initiatives across the AP stack to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy as transaction volume grows.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop one direct report.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with operational leaders to align spend management with business priorities.
This position follows established policies and procedures to keep confidential information secure.
A great fit for this position has:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience.
- Prior people management or supervisory experience required.
- Demonstrated experience with the full procurement-to-pay cycle.
- Experience building out or significantly enhancing an AP function in a growth environment — you have a playbook for standing up scalable AP processes and policies.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP as it applies to AP, accruals, and disbursements.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP and AP automation platforms.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
- Airbase experience is a strong plus.
- Experience in a PE-backed or multi-entity environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong initiative and sound decision making ability.
- Ability to travel as needed.
