Laser Operator

The Laser Marking Operator I will operate laser marking machine and laser mark instruments per customers' prints and requirements.

• →Starts up and shuts down laser marking machines
• →Follows program notes to build and install fixturing.
• →Maintains proper line clearance for job
• →Completes jobs per standard procedures
• →Performs 100% visual inspection of markings on each piece.
• →Measures any dimensions using proper equipment to confirm program is correct (i.e., caliper, optical comparator, gauging) and adjusts as needed.
• →Confirms proper focus to achieve desired markings.
• →Initials, dates, and confirms piece count is correct
• →Works independently and maintains productivity and quality.
• →Reads and interprets prints.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be required to stand. The employee could frequently be required to walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee could be required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee could occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job could include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred

• Prefer the ability to read blue prints (Level 2) and use measurement tools (level 1)
• Math aptitude with the ability to add and subtract decimals.
• Prefer computer skills 
• Prefer Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Prefer Drawing Editor software experience.(Level 2)
• Prefer working knowledge of working with inspection equipment (calipers, mics, comparators)
