Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing the company's general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.

- Perform daily/weekly/monthly journal entries, accruals, and provisions as required.

- Analyze and investigate discrepancies in the general ledger, identifying and correcting errors.

- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory (FRA & CBE) requirements, and company policies.

- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Maintain documentation and support for financial transactions and account balances.

- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Provide financial analysis and support to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
