WHO YOU ARE

As the Mechanical Specialist /HVAC, you will perform all industrial mechanical and basic electrical repairs to production equipment and systems following all code and safety requirements, under the direction of maintenance supervision and/or management. Needs HVAC and plumbing experience. Repair and replace HVAC units including gas recovery certification. Maintain and repair plumbing, lawn sprinklers, natural gas burners, compressed air and all cooling water systems.

In our ClosetMaid Ocala facility. A 600,000 square feet manufacturing and distribution facility.

 

Monday - Friday 

2:15 PM - 10:45 PM

(Overtime when/if needed)

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and support systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct mechanical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting, adjustments, and replacements on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Perform work up to but not including adjustments or repairs involving computerized control systems and components.
  • Set up and operate equipment requiring basic electrical adjustments.
  • Maintain and repair facility systems including HVAC units (with gas recovery certification), plumbing, lawn irrigation, natural gas burners, compressed air systems, and cooling water systems.
  • Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs with supervisors and team members.
  • Accurately account for all working time and complete required documentation.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and comply with company policies and applicable codes.
  • Perform all duties in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and maintain reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience); Associate degree preferred
  • 7–10 years of industrial maintenance experience (or a combination of education and experience)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting skills
  • HVAC and plumbing experience required, including unit repair/replacement
  • EPA Gas Recovery Certification required
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Certification
  • Forklift, Scissor Lift, and Bucket Lift certifications preferred
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment and maintenance practices
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
