Purchasing Supervisor

• →Direct, coach, and mentor the Purchasing team, managing daily tasks, performance evaluations, and staffing needs while promoting a positive, accountable work environment aligned with Dixon’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
• →Develop purchasing strategies, optimize inventory levels, identify single-source vulnerabilities, and implement dual-sourcing or contingency plans to mitigate supply disruption risks.
• →Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing terms to ensure the best overall value.
• →Partner with Production and Operations to ensure material availability; work with Accounts Payable to resolve three-way matching discrepancies and approve POs; and collaborate with Quality Assurance to manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Return to Vendor processes, and supplier credits.
• →Analyze market trends, monitor supplier performance, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• →Track and report on core purchasing metrics, including Purchase Price Variance (PPV), On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery, supplier lead times, and inventory turnover.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (manufacturing environment preferred), alongside proven leadership experience managing a team.
• Proficiency in purchasing software, tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical problem-solving abilities. You should be a dedicated, detail-oriented team player and self-starter who excels at building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• APICS, CPIM, or CSCP certification, as well as familiarity with Logility Supply Chain Planning.
