ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
Job Purpose/Objective | The role is responsible for member of the finance function for the Economic Zones business in Chennai, ensuring strong control in financial governance, accurate reporting, commercial finance support, revenue controls, coordination for collection and statutory compliance. The incumbent will partner closely with zone operations, commercial team, utilities, customers and support functions to drive profitability, cost efficiency, and business decision support while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and SEZ/regulatory requirements. |
Key responsibilities | Member of finance operations for the Economic Zones / Free Trade Warehousing. Drive monthly financial closure, MIS reporting, P&L review, balance sheet schedules, and variance analysis. Partner with business heads to ensure control in booking warehousing income, service revenue, VOS revenue, Transport revenue tracking with their respective cost incurred , ensuring all activities carried out are billed and infrastructure cost tracking. Support annual operating plan, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning. Monitor zone-level OPEX, CAPEX, infrastructure spend, Land purchased/sold and cost optimization opportunities. Ensure strong controls over Invoice billing,cost allocation, collections, and receivables ageing and to ensure compliance of SOP on AR & Credit policy and to improve focus on collection, ensure proper agreement closing with setting credit limit for all customers, agreed SOP on billing with all customers, clearing all billing queries, customer reconciliation etc. Review contracts, commercial proposals, customer pricing, and investment cases from a finance perspective. Ensure statutory compliance covering GST, TDS, SEZ-related financial regulations, Companies Act, and audit requirements. Drive internal control compliance, SOP adherence, and risk mitigation across finance processes. Coordinate with internal, statutory, tax, and process auditors for timely audit closure. To monitor overall Billing activities and ensure there is no revenue leakage with ensuring all billing is completed within D+2 days. Manage banking, cash flow planning, fund utilization, and working capital efficiency. Support finance transformation, ERP governance, dashboard reporting, and process automation initiatives. To closely work with operation team, tech team, GSC team etc., to close all billing errors ,for developing new enhancement as per customer requirements & to lead all implementation of new operating system Provide information support during management reviews, board decks, and senior leadership presentations and prepare all MIS especially

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES |
Skills and Competencies | - Strong expertise in business finance, controllership, and commercial finance

- Strong exposure to revenue assurance, lease accounting, and cost control
- Proficiency in SAP / ERP systems, advanced Excel, and MIS dashboards

| 3–6 years of overall finance experience Minimum 3+ years in business finance / controllership / commercial finance Prior experience in Economic Zones, SEZ, ports, logistics parks, industrial real estate, infrastructure, or warehousing finance is highly preferred
