Category Procurement Senior Specialist - IT (m/w/d)

DP World is seeking a Category Procurement Senior Specialist - IT to support the delivery of procurement activities across Europe. Reporting to the Category Procurement Manager - IT, this role is responsible for executing sourcing and contract management activities across key IT categories, including software, hardware, connectivity, and IT services.

Working closely with stakeholders across multiple DP World business pillars, the role focuses on delivering value through effective sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and contract governance. The successful candidate will help ensure that procurement decisions support business objectives while balancing cost, service quality, risk management, compliance, and technology requirements. 

• Serve as the procurement partner for assigned IT categories, supporting stakeholders across technology and business functions.
• Deliver sourcing activities for software, hardware, telecommunications, cloud, cybersecurity, and IT services, from requirements gathering through supplier selection and contract award.
• Execute category strategies and procurement initiatives that drive value, support business objectives, and ensure compliance with procurement standards.
• Lead commercial negotiations and manage contracts to optimize cost, reduce risk, and deliver sustainable supplier value.
• Build and manage supplier relationships, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement across the supplier portfolio.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, demand optimization, supplier consolidation, and commercial efficiency.
• Coordinate contract lifecycle activities, including renewals, licensing reviews, amendments, and performance management.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure appropriate governance and risk management.
• Monitor IT supplier markets, technology trends, commercial models, and industry developments to support informed sourcing decisions.
• Provide spend, supplier, contract, and market analysis to support procurement planning and decision-making.
• Support the successful implementation of awarded solutions and supplier agreements across DP World operations.
• Collaborate with regional and global procurement teams to leverage supplier relationships, best practices, and strategic sourcing opportunities.

  Associate or bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, IT, Finance or a related discipline. CIPS, NEVI or equivalent certification, or actively working towards certification.

  At least 3 years of relevant procurement and/or IT category experience with experience in procuring one or more IT subcategories, such as software, hardware, connectivity, cloud or IT services, preferably in a European or international environment.

• →Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, sourcing events, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

  Experience supporting or leading local and regional tendering processes and commercial negotiations.

  Ability to implement and execute approved procurement and sourcing strategies; no strategy ownership is required for this role.

  Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• →Understanding of commercial contract structures and the ability to coordinate reviews with legal, compliance, privacy, and information security teams.
• →Professional proficiency in English and willingness to travel within Europe as required.
