Metrology Technician - Rockford Area

• →Perform precision measurements using CMMs, optical comparators, and hand tools.
• →Calibrate and maintain measurement equipment according to established procedures.
• →Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• →Document measurement results and maintain accurate records for quality control.
• →Troubleshoot measurement issues and provide technical support to production.
• →Develop and optimize measurement methods and fixturing for new products.
• →Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on first article inspections and process improvements.

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Metrology Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Demonstrated experience with a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Ability to perform calibration and verification of measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and calibration standards.

• Experience with automated measurement systems (e.g., CMM programming and operation).
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with calibration software and database management.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
